In this episode the crew gets together to discuss #Netflix #Monster. The movie was originally released in 2018 at that year’s #SundanceFilmFestival. Due to #therona, there were some timely delays in getting the film out the general public. Timely because it’s being made available to the now as we see the country’s focus on #racial #injustices and #criminaljusticereform. The film takes us through the events leading up to the trial of a young man, #SteveHarmon played by #KelvinHarrisonJr as well as the trial itself. The trial is ultimately about how young teens in the urban environment are perceived and present to the world. You have the flamboyant and flashy quote unquote gangster played by #ASAPROCKY and the “good kid” from the bad neighborhood in a good school played by #KelvinHarrisonJr, who is the jury to believe?  There’s always variants of the truth, so reality can become the narrative we choose to believe. That was the case here, one story, two characters, and the jury made the selection as to who they deemed worthy of existing among our society. Let us know if you agree with their choices below.
