In this episode the crew gets together to discuss Netflix’s Concrete Cowboy. The movie is BoyZ N Da Hood meets an episode of the Dr. Phil with troubled teens, how bout dat. The movie tells two story’s in two genres. First, there’s the story about the troubled teen who’s forced to live with his estranged father for the summer and all the quintessential drama that comes with that. Secondly, is the story of the Fletcher street cowboys that is a true story. The purpose of the film seems to be to call attention to this culture of Black cowboys in an urban settings. There are maybe a total of 6 actors in the film with the rest being real Fletcher street cowboys and cowgirls, so keep that in mind before judging the acting. Overall it seems like neither story got adequate attention and for that the movie seems half assed. Let us know what you think.
